History Department Co-sponsors China Town Hall, “China’s Foreign Policy in the Age of Trump.”

The China Town Hall is a national conversation on important political and foreign policy related issues between the United States and China, taking place on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at the Howard H. Baker Center for Public Policy at the University of Tennessee, and will feature an interactive webcast with former National Security Advisor and U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Susan E. Rice. Ambassador Rice’s webcast will be preceded by a lecture and Q & A with William Hurst of Northwestern University, an expert in contemporary Chinese politics. Dr. Hurst will speak on, “China’s Foreign Policy in the Age of Trump.”

The event will be held in the Toyota Auditorium at the Baker Center, and last for approximately two hours, from 6 to 8 pm. It is free and open to the public. UT students, faculty, and staff, are encouraged to attend.
