Monica Black, in Russia, and in Translation

Monica Black’s book, Death in Berlin: From Weimar to Divided Germany has just appeared in a Russian translation with the Moscow publishing house Novoe literaturnoe obozrenie / New Literary Observer. In early April 2015, Professor Black traveled to Russia to discuss the book and her current research at the 23rd annual Bath House Readings. Hosted by New Literary Observer, the Bath House Readings are indelibly associated with Russia’s democratic revolution in the early 1990s. They are held at Memorial, the internationally-recognized civic, historical, and human rights organization.
