Monica Black Lectures on Drug History

Pick Your Poison: Intoxicating Pleasures and Medical Prescriptions , an exhibit at McClung Museum, explores how mind-altering drugs have been used throughout the history of America.

In conjunction with the exhibit, Monica Black, Associate Professor of History, will give the lecture, The World is On Drugs: A History, on April 12 at 5:30 p.m. 

The talk will explore the rise of modern drug development and the pharmaceutical industry, as well as what drugs do, how they work, and the modern cultural history of recreational drugs.
