Biography
Elm Britt is a third-year MA student studying Modern German History under Dr. Monica Black. Their research focuses on German perceptions of disability and gender during the first half of the twentieth century. In particular, Elm is interested in the reconstruction and reconceptualization of various competing masculine ideals for disabled German veterans of the Great War and how these ideals disrupted social cohesion and state-building during the Weimar era.
