Nick Strasser is a PhD student studying twentieth-century German history under the direction of Dr. Vejas Liulevicius. His research focuses on the connection between German literature and propaganda during the Weimar era into the Third Reich. He is particularly interested in science fiction novels of the period and the continuities of nationalism, racism, and colonial anxieties that influenced German reading culture.
Nick has also worked as a TA for a variety of history survey courses as both an MA and PhD student. He currently serves as a representative for the Modern European Caucus of the History Graduate Affairs Committee.
