Beyond the Classroom

Get involved in history!

In the History Department, our classes are just one part of your educational journey. As a major, you can launch your own original research project, get practical work experience at a local historical site, or spend time studying abroad. Where will your passion for history take you?

Conduct Original Research

All history Honors majors complete independent research projects under the one-on-one guidance of a faculty mentor. The department has funds for student research, so that you can travel to archives, museums and historical sites to discover new things about the past.
