Connect with Professors and Your Advisor
We encourage you to visit your History professors during their office hours, and visit your History advisor regularly. This interpersonal contact is how you will learn about opportunities that will help build your resume and lead you to new career interests and goals. Prepare to Declare Your Major/Minor
Students do not need to fulfill any prerequisites to declare a major in History. The Department of History offers a major in History; a major in History with an Honors Concentration; a major in History with a History of Science, Medicine, And Technology Concentration; a minor in History; and a History of Science, Medicine, And Technology minor.
History Writing and Research Tutor
The department also offers a free tutor in research and writing, which can be a tremendous help.
