Krystal Brooke Carter is a first year Ph.D. student studying under Dr. Jessie Wilkerson. Her research interests include women’s labor activism, collective identity, and community organizing while focusing on women’s organizing in Southern Appalachian Textile Factories. She is particularly interested in how women’s work in factories informed their community involvement, and their relationship with organized labor.
