Camren Murray is a fourth year PhD student studying U.S. history under Dr. Tore Olsson. Her research focuses on urban renewal & its impact on the Black community of East Knoxville, Tennesee. She is particularly interested in how this change over Knoxville from 1968 to the 1990s affected the student body at Austin-East High School. In her free time, she volunteers for the Beck Cultural Exchange Center as well as Battlefield Farm and Gardens.
