Nicholas Cipriani is a first-year PhD student under Dr. Felege-Selam Yirga. His research interests primarily focus on intercultural and interreligious interactions in Byzantine contexts, the empire’s borderlands, and Roman identity. Nicholas is particularly interested in how medieval Roman culture and society is shaped by its neighbors and minorities.
