Nolan Durfee

Nolan Durfee is a first-year Ph.D. student studying twentieth century German history under Dr. Vejas Liulevicius. His research focuses on German-speaking communities outside of Germany in Central and Eastern Europe. In particular, he is interested in how individuals in these communities constructed and negotiated their national and ethnic identities, and how experiences of war, violence, and migration changed these processes.
