Morgan Hardy

Doctoral Candidate

Morgan is a PhD candidate studying under Christopher Magra. He studies the environmental history of the early modern North Atlantic cod fisheries. Morgan’s dissertation traces sustainable strategies, their implementations, and the successes and failures throughout the eighteenth-century fishing industry. He is particularly interested in the pivotal role the ocean and marine life play as historical actors.
