Graduate Student

Sara Daiane José is a second-year Ph.D. student studying Late Antiquity and Syriac Christianity under the guidance of Dr. Christine Shepardson. She has also pursued specialized training through Summer Courses in Syriac Language at the Beth Mardutho and UTK Marco Institute, as well as in Syriac Christianity at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.

José received her bachelor’s degree with a teaching credential (Licenciatura) in History in Brazil and has over ten years of teaching experience in the Education Department of the Brazilian Federal District. There, she also held different roles, including working in the Office of Educational Assessment, which oversees policies and practices related to student evaluation across the public school system.
