Kimberly Krueger-Reilly is a second-year PhD student studying early medieval Europe under Dr. Matthew Bryan Gillis. Her research centers on unusual religious experiences within early medieval Christianity, often focusing on cultural beliefs within sacred literature during the Carolingian Renaissance. Kim is particularly interested in the roles of the physical body in religious recollection and in social expectations in shaping the identity of the Carolingian Empire, and in perspectives on the wider early medieval world through the lens of the human body.
