I am a historian of modern Europe, with a special interest in game-based learning and digital history. I am also a Faculty Innovator Fellow with UTK’s Teaching & Learning Innovation and a University Honors Faculty Fellow. 

At UT-Knoxville, I teach the Western Civilization survey (F2F and online), the second half of the World History survey, and upper-level undergraduate courses on nineteenth- and twentieth-century Europe. Many of my courses feature one or more immersive historical role-playing games from the Reacting to the Past series and digital projects using TimelineJS. 

My research has focused on international migration and globalization, with an emphasis on Italian migration in the early Cold War period.
