Jackson Murray
Graduate Student
Jackson is a first year PhD student studying Modern German History under Dr. Monica Black. His research interests focus on the First World War and the interwar period, with a particular focus on the imagery of propaganda, public opinion, and personal communications between German and American citizens. He is currently researching the ways in which post Great War American humanitarian aid to Europe – and in particular Germany – was influenced by rhetoric charged with religious ideas and symbols, especially from the shared Christian heritage of the two countries.
