Stuart Priest is a PhD student studying under the supervision of Dr. Luke Harlow. His research explores the religious contours of southern cultural history in nineteenth-century America, particularly the intersection of religion, nationalism, race, and politics. His prior research examined the role of print culture in shaping southern Christian perspectives on the American Civil War.
