Allie Richardson
Doctoral Candidate
Allie D. Richardson is a fourth-year PhD candidate specializing in late medieval Germany. Her research focuses on the cities of the late medieval Holy Roman Empire and how different civic structures fit into the overall imperial landscape as well as how citizens of these cities were able to create public political spaces for themselves. Additionally, she examines the ways that modern Japanese and Korean manga and manhwa interact with and use the European medieval past in order to create compelling fantasy worlds.
