Advising

Advisors Are Important Resources!

History majors and minors may schedule an appointment in Vol Academic Connect, which can be accessed in myUTK under the “Academic Support” tab at the top of the page.

Once in Vol Academic Connect, students may select “Change of Major to History” for change of major or prospective student advising, “History Advising” for major/minor advising with History advisor Emily Brandel, or “Supplemental Advising” if the student has an assigned faculty advisor. Students with an assigned faculty advisor should contact the faculty member through Vol Mail for appointment scheduling. A complete list of faculty can be found here.

Please contact 865-974-4483 if you experience technical difficulties in Vol Academic Connect. Thank you for your interest in The Department of History and The College of Arts and Sciences at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

Declare Your Major

“History is a kind of introduction to more interesting people than we can possibly meet in our restricted lives; let us not neglect the opportunity.”
